The Second Yard of NORTHERN VIRGINIA Update

The Second Yard of Northern Virginia provided the Washington Metropolitan Area with the finest designer fabrics, trims, home furnishings and custom labor services from July 1980 through January 2011. The slow economy and changing trends in the home and design field have affected many retail businesses throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area including The Second Yard. The Second Yard, once a vibrant business, became a labor of love making it clear it was time to retire. Consequently, our retail showroom in Fairfax, Virginia is now closed forever.

All in-stock fabrics and trims were sold during our closing sale. Some of our decorative accessories and furniture pieces are still available and will be featured on The Second Yard website, and this blog for purchase at greatly discounted prices. Sarreid is known for creating pieces specifically for the needs of interior designers. This unique room divider screen is constructed of fifteen (15) individual leather inserts portraying different games of chess mounted on hardwood in the color chestnut. The back is as beautiful as the front. There are 3 panels and each panel is 73" high x 16" wide.
