The Second Yard of NORTHERN VIRGINIA Update
The Second Yard of Northern Virginia provided the Washington Metropolitan Area with the finest designer fabrics, trims, home furnishings and custom labor services from July 1980 through January 2011. The slow economy and changing trends in the home and design field have affected many retail businesses throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area including The Second Yard. The Second Yard, once a vibrant business, became a labor of love making it clear it was time to retire. Consequently, our retail showroom in Fairfax, Virginia is now closed forever.
All in-stock fabrics and trims were sold during our closing sale. Some of our decorative accessories and furniture pieces are still available and will be featured on The Second Yard website, and this blog for purchase at greatly discounted prices. To find items of interest on this blog, check the different categories under "Labels" below. If you are interested in one of these pieces, please go to our Contact page on our website to learn how to proceed to make a purchase.
The Second Yard of Northern Virginia would like to extend its gratitude to all of our wonderful customers who visited and shopped with us over the years. We miss you all. Many thanks also to our very special staff for their loyalty and dedication to The Second Yard and its customers throughout the years. For a similar shopping experience, you may shop the other Second Yard stores located throughout Virginia under different ownership.
